Position Summary
The Branch Manager – Northern West Coast is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the full performance of Neonline's SFO station. This individual owns driver growth, fleet coordination, client relationship management, regulatory compliance, and station P&L. They are the face of Neonline Logistics in the Bay Area market.
This role is designed for a proven logistics operator with deep roots in time-critical, airport-based freight — someone who understands the urgency of every pickup, the non-negotiability of compliance, and the value of strong client relationships built over years in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all daily operations at the SFO station, ensuring service standards, compliance, and performance targets are met consistently
- Work directly with the Director of Operations and CEO during the first 90 days to absorb company vision, co-develop SOPs, and establish the foundation for sustainable station growth
- Build, train, and develop a high-performing team — leading by example in a fast-paced, 24/7 logistics environment
- Conduct monthly all-hands driver meetings to review performance metrics, protocols, and company updates
- Deliver structured team training on a weekly or monthly basis based on operational requirements
- Manage and retain a fleet of drivers across all vehicle classes: Car, Van, Truck, Box Truck, Tractor Trailer, Reefer Van, and Reefer Truck
- Develop driver retention programs and maintain engagement through consistent communication, performance recognition, and professional development
- Monitor individual driver performance and implement corrective action or coaching plans as needed
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for all SFO-based clients — building trust, resolving service issues, and maintaining long-term partnerships
- Represent Neonline Logistics on client calls and meetings, providing ground-level operational expertise and credibility
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Northern West Coast market
- Earn commission on net new client accounts brought in directly — with full company support in the sales process
- Work cross-functionally with the sales team to ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction
- Ensure full compliance with all TSA regulations, DOT requirements, and airport authority protocols at all times — zero tolerance for gaps
- Oversee the proper handling, documentation, and chain-of-custody for temperature-sensitive freight, including dry ice and cold-chain shipments
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations affecting final-mile and airport cargo operations
- Ensure all drivers and station personnel meet badging, credentialing, and security clearance requirements
- Conduct regular audits of operational procedures to identify compliance risks and implement corrective measures proactively
- Own the SFO station P&L — managing costs, maximizing revenue, and delivering consistent quarter-over-quarter growth
- Track, analyze, and report on all key performance indicators on a regular cadence to the Director of Operations
- Utilize technology platforms and AI-driven tools to optimize route efficiency, dispatch operations, and workforce scheduling
- Contribute to company-wide strategic planning discussions and represent SFO's needs and opportunities at the leadership level
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in time-critical medical or freight logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity
- Demonstrated experience in airport ground operations with a thorough, working knowledge of TSA regulations, DOT compliance, and airport credentialing requirements
- Proven background in on-demand final-mile delivery operations at scale — managing multi-vehicle-class fleets in a high-accountability environment
- Hands-on experience with temperature-sensitive freight handling, including dry ice protocols and cold-chain compliance
- Track record of building and growing a driver workforce — recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention
- Direct client relationship management experience at the operational level — not just internal-facing
- Strong professional network within the time-critical freight and airport logistics ecosystem
- Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using TMS, dispatch, or route optimization platforms; genuine interest in AI-driven operational tools
- Exceptional communicator — equally effective with drivers on the floor, clients in a boardroom, and leadership in a strategy session
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority situations simultaneously without losing attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset — able to build systems, processes, and culture from the ground up in a scaling startup environment
- Flexible availability — understands that time-critical logistics does not follow a fixed schedule
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badge and all required clearances for SFO operations
- Willingness to travel for industry conferences, client meetings, and company-wide leadership events as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
- Experience managing Reefer and temperature-controlled vehicle fleets in a regulated logistics environment
- Familiarity with IATA cargo regulations and air freight documentation standards
- Prior P&L ownership at a branch, station, or terminal level
- Bilingual a plus — Spanish strongly preferred given regional driver workforce demographics
