Branch Manager —
Southern West Coast
About Neonline Logistics
Neonline Logistics is a rapidly growing final-mile and time-critical freight company operating across major U.S. markets. We specialize in on-demand, airport-rooted delivery solutions for clients who cannot afford to miss a window — from temperature-sensitive medical freight to high-priority commercial cargo.
Los Angeles is one of our highest-priority growth markets. We are building from the ground up at LAX and need a proven operator to own it — someone who knows this market, knows this industry, and is ready to build something significant.
Position Summary
The Branch Manager – Southern West Coast is a senior operational leadership role with full accountability for Neonline's LAX station. This individual owns driver growth across a full mixed fleet, coordinates dispatch operations, manages client relationships at the ground level, ensures strict regulatory compliance, and drives station P&L performance.
LAX is one of the busiest air cargo hubs in the United States. This role demands someone with deep, hands-on experience in airport logistics — who understands the complexity of managing time-critical pickups and deliveries across multiple vehicle classes in a high-volume, compliance-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all daily operations at the LAX station — ensuring service standards, compliance, and performance targets are met consistently across all shifts
- Work directly with the Director of Operations and CEO during the first 90 days to absorb company vision, co-develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and establish the operational foundation for LAX
- Build, train, and lead a high-performing team capable of handling the volume and complexity of one of the country's busiest air cargo markets
- Conduct monthly all-hands driver meetings to review performance metrics, protocols, safety standards, and company updates
- Deliver structured team training sessions on a weekly or monthly basis based on operational need
- Lead and execute the full driver recruitment strategy for LAX — with a target to 2x the active daily driver headcount by the end of Q2 2027
- Manage a comprehensive mixed fleet across all vehicle classes: Car, Van, Truck, Box Truck, Tractor Trailer (including 53ft), Reefer Van, and Reefer Truck
- Develop and maintain driver retention programs — keeping turnover low in a competitive Los Angeles labor market
- Monitor individual driver performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement coaching or corrective action plans as needed
- Ensure all drivers maintain valid licensing, required endorsements, and compliance with DOT regulations at all times
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for all LAX-based clients — building long-term partnerships rooted in reliability and trust
- Join and represent Neonline on client calls and in-person meetings, bringing ground-level operational credibility to every conversation
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the Southern West Coast market
- Earn commission on net new client accounts brought in directly — with full company support in the sales and onboarding process
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless client onboarding, contract execution, and ongoing account satisfaction
- Ensure full compliance with all TSA regulations, DOT requirements, FAA cargo protocols, and LAX airport authority directives — with zero tolerance for gaps
- Oversee all aspects of temperature-sensitive freight handling, including dry ice shipments, cold-chain documentation, and proper packaging and labeling protocols
- Ensure all station personnel and drivers maintain current airport badging, security clearances, and credentialing as required by LAX and TSA
- Conduct regular internal compliance audits and implement corrective procedures proactively — before issues become incidents
- Stay current on all federal, state, and local transportation regulations affecting final-mile and air cargo operations in the Southern California region
- Own the LAX station P&L — managing operational costs, maximizing revenue, and delivering consistent quarter-over-quarter growth
- Track, analyze, and report all key performance indicators to the Director of Operations on a regular cadence
- Utilize TMS, dispatch platforms, and AI-driven tools to optimize route efficiency, fleet utilization, and workforce scheduling
- Represent the LAX station in company-wide strategic planning discussions and contribute to national expansion initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in time-critical medical or freight logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership capacity
- Demonstrated experience in airport ground operations at a major hub — with thorough, working knowledge of TSA regulations, DOT compliance, and airport credentialing requirements
- Proven background managing on-demand final-mile delivery operations at scale, including full mixed-fleet management across light and heavy vehicle classes
- Hands-on experience with temperature-sensitive freight handling — dry ice protocols, cold-chain compliance, and regulated cargo documentation
- Track record of building and growing a driver workforce in a competitive labor market — recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention
- Direct, ground-level client relationship management experience in a logistics or freight operations environment
- Strong professional network within the time-critical freight, air cargo, and airport logistics industry
- Willingness to travel for industry conferences, client meetings, and company-wide leadership events as required
- Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using TMS, dispatch, or route optimization platforms; genuine enthusiasm for AI-driven operational tools
- Exceptional communicator — equally credible with drivers on the floor, clients across a conference table, and leadership in a strategy session
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority situations simultaneously without losing attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset — capable of building systems, processes, and culture from the ground up in a high-growth startup environment
- Flexible availability — understands that time-critical, airport-rooted logistics does not follow a fixed schedule
- Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred; at minimum a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain LAX airport security badge and all required TSA clearances

- Prior P&L ownership at a branch, station, or terminal level in a final-mile or freight environment
